Grace Chapel Children’s Ministry points children to Jesus in a safe, engaging, and child appropriate way.

What example are we following?

“…’Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God’…And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.” (Mark 10:13-16)
It is our desire to reach out to children with the same love and intentionality Jesus displays in the book of Mark.

Why is it important?

“…And there arose another generation after them who did not know the Lord or the work that he had done for Israel…” (Judges 2:10-12)
This generation described in Judges comes directly after a generation that loved the Lord, evident by a challenge from Joshua (Joshua 24:15). We cannot allow a single generation to go by without effectively teaching them to love and serve the Lord.

What can you do?

Ask questions. Children love to share what they know. Pray. Get to know your child’s teacher.
It is rewarding to serve in such a challenging and joyful ministry. We would love to invite you to partner with us by serving in any of the following ministries.

Weekend Ministries

This is the equivalent of an adult Small Group catered for children from nursery to 6th grade. There is something particularly valuable about teaching children in small groups according to age where they develop friendships and have an opportunity to interact and participate in the teaching of God’s Word. This is accomplished by offering interactive small group lessons, kid focused worship, and crafts/activities related to the passage topic.

The junior high and high school years are vital in training young people to be disciples of Jesus. Many students leave the church after high school because they haven’t been challenged to make their faith their own. This means that traditionally the church hasn’t done a good job of communicating the gospel to teens and creating a legacy of disciples that is multi-generational. Grace Chapel’s Youth Ministries are focused on partnering with parents to equip students to be disciples of Jesus by clearly communicating the gospel, creating an environment of worship, and connecting teens to community in the church.

The end-goal of Youth Ministries is to create theologically sound Jesus lovers who go on to become vital members of the church in their college years and beyond. Youth Ministries meet on Wednesday nights from 7-8:30pm. The high school group meets in the Chapel, and junior high meets in the Library. For more information on our youth ministries, contact Pastor Jeremy.

Women of the Word

Women are vital to a healthy church. In the Bible, it was the women who stuck by Jesus as he died on the cross. It was the women who discovered that Jesus rose from the dead and told the disciples. And it was the women who faithfully served in the early church in partnership with the apostles and elders. The early church was radical in that it encouraged women to learn about theology and Jesus, encouraged them to serve and help build the church, and deemed women as equal image bearers of God, with distinct roles.

Grace Chapel Women’s Ministry is focused on helping women grow more deeply in their love of Jesus and grow in their knowledge of God’s Word, and get connected with one another in community so they can make a godly impact in their homes, in their workplaces, and in their schools.

Weekly Bible studies (“Women of the Word”) include a time of worship, teaching from God’s Word and small group time to enable you to grow in your walk with the Lord, enjoy fellowship, maintain accountability, and create long-lasting friendships. Women of the Word meets during the school year on Wednesdays 9 – 11 AM or 7 – 8:30 PM in the Worship Center. Women of the Word will resume on September 21, 2016. The study, highlighting The Sermon on the Mount (from Matt 5-7), is called "When the Master Speaks...Listen!"

inSight Moms Ministry is a ministry for all moms desiring to encourage one another as they train their children to love the Lord. Principles from God's word, relationships with Mentor Moms, fellowship with other moms, prayer, good books and guest speakers will help equip you with biblical and practical help as you train your children in the Lord.

inSight meets during the school year on selected Tuesdays, 9:30 -11:30AM in the Chapel. Childcare is provided. 2016-17 dates for inSight: Sept 20, Oct 4 & 18, Nov 1 & 15, Dec 6, Jan 10 & 24, Feb 14 & 28, March 14 & 28, April 25, May 9 & 23..

Ironmen Wednesdays 9-10:30 AM, 7-8:30 PM from September through May each year

“Ironmen” (Proverbs 27:17) meet with the intent of sharpening one another to be men who follow Christ and represent Him in the home, the workplace and in life in general. We worship in song together, study the Bible together, snack and fellowship together, laugh together, cry together, serve together… the point is, together. Through these weekly meetings and other activities during the year, our prayer is to help one another obey and glorify God… living “all out” for Him as His men!.

ICHTHUS Saturdays 7 - 8:30 pm

College students are at war…and many don’t seem to know it. Ask the average church-goer what 6 year period in their life was filled with the most sin and spiritual lethargy and which now fills them with the most regret and many would identify their college years. JC Ryle has said, “Think not that you can serve the devil with the flower of your youth and then serve Christ with ease in your later years.”

Grace Chapel’s College-age ministry (ICHTHUS) is designed to provide an environment where students are not just preached at, but where they are taught the surpassing value of knowing Christ. Our goal is to take advantage of the period that many fritter away and instead train, disciple, and give hands-on opportunities to minister both within the body and outside in the community in order to help ensure that our students flourish through their college years.

Join us for worship, teaching, and dinner at our main service Saturdays from 7 - 8:30 pm in the Library.

If you have any questions about ICHTHUS, contact Pastor Christian.

Worship is giving God the glory He is due. Scripture shows us the important role music serves in worship. Psalm 66:2 says, “Sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise!”

We exist to identify, equip, and utilize musicians who will humbly and skillfully serve God’s will for the church.

We value zeal for God’s glory and the gospel, a commitment to active involvement and accountability in the church body, serving with expressiveness and faithfulness, and the pursuit of spiritual and musical growth.

Get Involved by first viewing the Expectations and Explanations Guide for the area you are interested in here: choir, orchestra, handbells and worship team. Once you have viewed the guide, call or email the worship ministry office to schedule a meeting with Pastor Joel. 661-948-0855 ext. 120.

If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Joel.

Church Service Sundays 10:45 PM

The grace and peace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all, we are very happy and thankful to God for giving us the opportunity to serve you and invite you to cooperate with us in the task of preparing men and women for the service of God. Our main goal is to share the message of our Father God, which is in the Bible, it is the only tool we use and which we rely. Remember, the Lord Jesus Christ commands us in Matthew 28: 19 and 20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit;teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."

We believe that Christian education is an essential factor in the growth and development of the spiritual life of every believer. The communion between believers and evangelism go hand in hand with the knowledge of the Holy Scriptures. Whether you are near or in our city, come visit us with family and friends, remember: "The Word of God is for all" (Acts 13:47)
